Directions to Patchogue

From the South:
If you are "car-toping" your Opti on a passenger (non-commercial) vehicle, take Rt. 440 east to the Outerbridge Crossing and across Staten Island via the West Shore Expressway and Staten Island Expressway (I-278) to the Verrazano Bridge. From there take the Belt Parkway-Southern State Parkway east 43 mi. to Sunrise Highway (Rt. 27 East), then east 9 mi. to Exit 52 (see Map). Turn south onto N. Ocean Ave. and follow it 2 miles south to Patchogue Shorefront Park.

NOTE: Commercially registered vehicles (trucks, RVs, trailers, etc) are NOT permitted on Long Island parkways. Also note that there are relatively low bridges on the Southern State Parkway, with less room in the curb lane than in the center lane.

If you are trailering or driving a 'commercial' vehicle, use Rt. 80 and proceed East across the George Washington Bridge and the Cross Bronx Expressway (I-95) to I-295 (Throgs Neck Bridge and Clearview Expressway south to the Long Island Expressway (I-495) east 48 mi. to exit 63, N. Ocean Ave. and follow it 10 miles south to Patchogue Shorefront Park.

From the West and Northwest:
Use directions in the paragraph immediately above.

From the North:
Use the directions immediately above or, for a more relaxed trip, book passage on the Bridgeport to Port Jefferson Ferry at (631) 473-0286. From Port Jefferson ferry landing (see Map), take Rt. 112 approximately 15 mi. south to Montauk Hwy. Go west to the center of town and turn left (south) onto S. Ocean Ave and follow it south to Patchogue Shorefront Park.

From the Northeast:
Book passage on the Cross Sound Ferry from New London to Orient Point at (860) 443-5281 or online: http://www.longislandferry.com . From the Orient ferry landing take Rt. 25 west 8 mi. to the 'blinker light' in Greenport. Continue straight on North County Rd., (Rt.48) 20 mi. to Northville Turnpike (County RD. 43) (see Map). Go south 1/2 mi. to Rt. 105. Turn left and go 5 mi. to Rt. 104. Bare left and go 1-1/2 mi. to Rt. 31. Bear right and go 1/2 mi. to Sunrise Highway, west (Rt. 27). Go west 20 mi. to Exit 52 (see Map). Turn south onto N. Ocean Ave. and follow it 2 miles south to Patchogue Shorefront Park.
